Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Minyan App mobile application, minyanapp.com, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Minyan App LLC, a California limited liability company located at 8605 Santa Monica Blvd #810434, West Hollywood, CA 90069. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Minyan App helps Jewish communities coordinate prayer gatherings. The Service provides coordination tools only. We do not guarantee that any gathering will form, reach a quorum, or take place, and we are not responsible for the conduct of participants at any gathering.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Access to the Service may require an invitation from an existing member and completion of phone verification.

Acceptable use

• Use the Service only to coordinate legitimate prayer gatherings and related community activity.
• Do not harass other users, misrepresent your identity, create false gatherings, or misuse location features.
• Do not attempt to access other users' personal information, probe or disrupt the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.

SMS terms

Sponsorships

The Service may offer optional sponsorships that allow users to dedicate a gathering or a day of gatherings. Sponsorships support Minyan App LLC. They are not charitable donations, are not tax deductible, and do not entitle the sponsor to attendance, access, or any influence over any gathering. Participation in gatherings is always free and is never affected by sponsorship.

Location features

Certain features use your device's location to match you with nearby gatherings and confirm arrival. Location handling is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your own safety when attending any gathering.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide, is owned by Minyan App LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Prayer times and religious calendar information shown in the app are provided for convenience; consult your rabbi for authoritative religious guidance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minyan App LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new effective date and provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may request deletion of your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
